Getting Back Into Routine

"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust." - Matthew 5:43-45

I am trying hard to get myself back into routine and get ready for the start of school. I have spent the last two days at school, working on schedules, primarily. I am trying to think through the semester and plan for the events coming up in the next several months. I was thankful to have some of my teachers with me, to bounce off ideas and check for errors in my scheduling. They catch my mistakes all the time!

I also had a chance to talk with the teacher and his wife that are joining us as houseparents. Their son will be enrolling in the school this semester as well. We had a chance to talk about his previous schooling and his English language abilities. I worked with the teacher that will have him to develop an assessment to decide if it is best to put him into second or third grade. We will assess him when they arrive to the ranch on Thursday.

In addition to having a productive day, I also had opportunities to visit with people. Sometimes in the busyness of every day life, I forget to build relationships with the people around me. I was blessed to spend pockets of time with different individuals throughout the day.
